    PEACEFUL DEATH AND PRETTY FLOWERS

    Apis mellifera, the common honeybee, is the most heavily studied animal on the planet, second only to human beings themselves. Inspired by a short-lived stint of keeping bees, these works explore ancient myths and modern day maladies of the hive.
